Chapter 4 Shiny App

According to RStudio “Shiny is an open source R package that provides an elegant and powerful web framework for building web applications using R. Shiny helps you turn your analyses into interactive web applications …”. Within this spirit the Quality Indicators App was developed aiming to ease the analysis of the QI for the statsitical processes produced and disseminated by FAO. Moreover, it was intended to be an easy-to-use tool for producing and presenting reports at international conferences. The app consumes data from the Production Environment of the SWS, domain Quality Indicators and contains the following tab:

• Create Report - within this tab you can draw on-the-fly charts and generate automatic pdf reports based on the selection parameters (dataset, area, element, item and year).
